QT Halation
Get SUPER realistic Film-like Halation with a SINGLE click.
-
Controls the brightness of the halation. This is analogous to how ineffective the anti-halation layer is in a film stock; if it blocks out all secondary reflections (strength = 0), then halation will be dim or nonexistent. This is calibrated so that 0.5 matched our real samples.
-
Control the color of the halation.
-
Indicates the blur width or diffusion strength of the halation. Note that due to the limitations of DCTLs, a larger blur amount will result in reduced playback performance.
-
Based on the halation characteristics of real film negatives, this sets the blur amount of 1.0 to match the width of film you're trying to simulate.
-
Skip the halation computation altogether.
Presets based on real film negatives.
